How do I check my outlet is grounded?

Your grounding products connect through the ground pin of a standard wall outlet, so the outlet must be properly grounded.

How to check#

1. Plug a socket tester into the outlet and switch it on.

2. Two green lights or two amber lights with the white tester means the outlet is properly grounded and ready to use.

3. Any other light combination means the outlet may not be grounded. Take a photo of the tester and send it to us, and we'll help with next steps.

If your outlet isn't grounded#

You have three options:

• Use a grounding rod to connect your products directly to the earth outside: Grounding Rod
• Have an electrician convert your outlets to a grounded system.
• Return for a refund under our Grounding Guarantee if neither option works for you.
